About EditorSS
I've been in the financial services industry for nearly 30 years and yet I don't consider myself a "'savvy" investor. But I rarely make the same mistake twice and I've found a few things that work fairly consistently. Beyond that, I've learned to work with professionals that I trust to bring good information to me.

EditorSS's Best Investment Ever
I bought a fairly large amount of a micro-cap diagnostic software company in early 1995 for about 3 cents per share. In August of that year MSFT launched Windows95 - which revolutionized the software/PC business. But users needed a companion diagnostic product to fix the inherent problems and (for about 6 months anyway) only ONE such product existed - that of my software pick. The stock shot up to $18 and settled around $14. Needless to say, I did pretty well.
